I was born and raised in Lawrence, KS and graduated from the University of Kansas with dual degrees - Accounting & Business Administration. I was fortunate to pass the CPA exam while still in my senior year in college.
I worked in Public Accounting for several years, during which time I obtained my CPA license. I then embarked on a 25+ year career in nonprofit foundations overseeing asset bases approaching $1 billion.
After leaving the foundation world, I reentered the public accounting field in 2011. Since that time I have worked on my own and with other CPAs providing tax and accounting services to a broad spectrum of clients.
After hours I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 daughters - all grown up. I also enjoy managing an alpaca/llama/chicken ranch, playing golf, going camping, riding motorcycles, and flying planes.
